Marilyn Monroe & MAC Cosmetics

How absolutely stunning and iconic is Marilyn Monroe? Very! That's your answer, so when I found out MAC cosmetics and Marilyn Monroe were being thrown together I got a little bit excited! I know this is a very late blog considering the collection has been out for a while now but I have been dying to write about it. I went into House Of Fraiser crossing my fingers they'd have the collection there as it was only a counter, they did though! I was extremely excited and practically dived onto the Marilyn Monroe stand haha!

After all the photos I had seen online I was pretty sure I knew what I wanted, the colours of the lipsticks especially looked gorgeous and the packaging with Marilyn on the front was absolutely stunning! Although when I saw the lipsticks in person I was not that impressed, well they were all sold out so I couldn't purchase them even if I wanted to but it just proved to me that buying cosmetics online is never a good idea because colours are not true! Haha, I also like to be able to get an idea of the texture of the product! How ever I did end up purchasing the blush in 'Legendary' which is a really pale pink colour with a very subtle shimmer! With it being so pale I was pretty worried it wouldn't show up on my fair skin but I rushed home and tried it out and fell in love with it, the colour build up is gorgeous and it glides onto my skin beautifully! It gives a lovely rosy look. PERFECT FOR AUTUMN!

I have not used any other blush since purchasing it! I also ended up buying MACs famous red lipstick 'Russian Red' as well, I've been eyeing it up for ages and went for the plunge! It's a gorgeous classic deep red colour. I was a bit scared of the matte finish but it just took some getting used to and now I love it, although after taking it off you may want to apply a lot of lip balm because it does dry your lips out. Anyway, back onto the Marilyn collection, I may go back into a store and purchase the eyeshadow in the colour 'Preferred Blonde' as I think it'd be a lovely base colour! So fingers crossed.

Lushlush

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I've been to lush! Ahh, the amazingness of lush, so yes, the smelll always manages to draw me in! The first product I brought was Sweetie Pie.. Here is the Lush description of it.. Sweet and sophisticated fruitiness. Lashings of blackcurrant and bergamot essential oils in a sour cherry and coconut jelly make this about as fruity as you can get. It is incredibly difficult to resist taking a spoonful. Instead, take a handful and smooth it over your hair and body. Passing strangers will smell you and find their minds wandering to fruit pastilles! I personally love it! It smells absolutley amazing and has made my skin so so soft! I reccomend it strongly for dry skin! The second item I purchased wassssssssss the Shimmy Shimmy Bar! The Lush description of it.. Shimmy shimmy into Lush for vanilla scented glowing skin. It's shaped like abstract heart and smells rather beautifully of vanilla and lavender, with a hint of herbal clary sage. The Shimmy Shimmy bar perfumes and softens your skin. However, those are two added bonuses. The real attraction is the way it makes your skin shine. The glitter in Shimmy Shimmy is very subtle, but ever so effective, giving your skin a pinky-bronze glow that lights up pale, wintery skin. For anyone reading this blog.. You seriously need to go out and buy these items! They are so amazing!! I can never resist lush and its wonderfull smells! GO AND GET THEEEEEEEM. Then comment back on what you think! xxx

Beauty community on youtube

Okay so I have recently (two months ago) made a youtube account! Full of beauty things, hauls, tutorials, favorites and different sort of tags! I love having youtube, it's so lovely and everyone on there is so lovely! I have 52 subscribers at the moment, and I know it isn't LOADS. But every single one of them is so lovely and loyal, like I say to them and anybody else, if you see me on the street or out and about don't be afraid to come and say hello! The beauty community on youtube is so lovely and tight there are some really brilliant gurus! I fell in love with the idea of becoming a guru when I first started watching Swalkermakeup. She is so sweet and absolutely stunning! And I never get bored of her videos. I also love michellephan and meganheartsmakeup.. They are brillllllliant! So yeah go and check them all out! :)
Love to everyone.
